Jeff Dooley MS

Jeff is a senior consultant and director of the systems and change management practice areas of ALD. His experience, spanning two decades in private industry and government, has included:

• Designing and delivering training and consultation to enhance systems thinking and creative problem-solving in organizations
  
  
• Leading teams in diagnosing and redesigning work processes, and in implementing and evaluating new processes
  
  
• Working with executive and strategic planning groups to enhance team performance through increasingly skillful speaking and listening
  
  
• Collaborating in the design and roll out of corporate universities/learning centers
  
  
• Conducting leadership coaching based on principles of physical learning drawn from martial arts and other contemplative disciplines. He has been a student and practitioner of martial arts since 1985, and he holds the Aikido rank of Sandan (3rd Degree Black Belt).

He has taught Systems Thinking, Advanced Systems Practice, and Dynamic System Simulation at the University of California, Santa Cruz Extension, and has conducted systems seminars at Oklahoma State University, Center for Organizational Improvement. He has co-designed and conducted seminars on systems, leadership, and change for Kellogg National Foundation and Harvard University.

Jeff earned his MS in Cybernetics and System Science from San Jose State University, receiving his department's top award for academic excellence. He has published works on the cybernetics of learning, integration of cultural and structural change strategies, professional self-re-education, and aikido as a leadership art.
